----day 34---- didn't ski strawberry with admin and crew last time because of crowd and other factors , but today i skied strawberry almost all day . except for a lunch run to the top of john paul chair where i had lunch in the john paul lodge completely alone (except for the full staff ) no one to be seen anywhere .

i skied this run six times in the morning and never saw another sole !!!!

on the seventh run i skied another chute further up the ridge called hidden chute that one remains hidden , that was the only time i ran across another sole , and it was patrol , scott was his name , he had just skied loooone pine . he agreed with me that snowbasin needed more skiers on big buff days to grind the snow a little bit more , don't get me wrong the skiing was exceptional on the pure buff but a few more to chew it up makes for some baby powder turns !!!

skied three more hidden chutes after lunch and a main chute off the peak for my last of the day . when i departed the parking lot there were maybe twenty to thirty cars in the first parking lot and no others anywhere. fantastic day

I am surprised you didn't take Mt. Allen Tram seeing how it just recently opened.
It's too bad how Snowbasin puts out such an excellent product day after day, and it sort of goes to waste. All that food they carry up to Jean Paul, for example. JP is the best on-mountain lunch stop bar none; between the scenery, the actual lodge, the food and the prices. Yet hardly anyone is there to enjoy it during the week.

Hard to believe that both the Needles and Jean Paul lodges are open non-holiday midweeks. Even if they only kept Needles open midweek, I bet that it'd be mostly empty.

damn, almost forgot about that. Glad you mentioned it.. I only stopped in there for a minute to fix my goggles once during a white out, but don't remember much as I was too freaked out about what my buddy was getting me into up there getting ready to bonzai the downhill. All I remember was going really fast.
