April Fools, the joke is on you! You thought the season was over, it's only really beginning here at Snowbird. the tourists are for the most part gone all though today was some what busy on the tram the chairs were empty. never waited more than thirty seconds in any base area. road to provo was closed mineral basin was closed. couldn't get any pics of mineral as it was snowing to hard. got one pic of boundry bowl when a hole in the clouds passed over the ridge. skied tiger tail in the afternoon exclusively quite a bit of acreage to cover on the western border of the bird. not much else to type cause the pics are pretty much self explanatory. this is my first daily post with pics so one must start with the proper quality pics hope everyone enjoys . credit must be given to the administration for helping me post these pictures the entire posting process.

Wish I was there but decided to try something different for this spring season. Going to hike and ski something that you used to be near..Tuckermans ravine...which of course just had record setting high temps..which is causing..interesting conditions...hopefully the 10th will be a bit colder..not a fan of car sized ice chunks raining down on my head.

I've been thinking about heading up that way, but I don't have a ski partner around here to do that. I would love nice spring corn at this time of year.

Tuckermans at this time of year on a good day? I wouldn't worry - you'll be there with hundreds of your closest friends skiing over your tails - just like Hunter or Killington or Snow or MRG.

I hate to say this, but there is something comforting about that. Personally, I'm more worried about car-pooling it up there than anything else.

from thirty four inches on thur. to surfing twelve at snowbasin today. one foot of beat up dendrites hammered by the wind. probably not blizzard conditions offically but it couldn't been much less. autogrooming on max pretty much untracked on upper three quarters of the hill. never got warm enough to affect snow quality. skied two middle fingers in the hand in no name area after lunch untracked !! two rows of cars in the parking lot they didn't make money today. the place was deserted. delayed opening on needles & john paul for bombing runs on the upper mtn. took probably fourty five min. to get going so only becker triple opened on schedule three runs of bliss no one left the lines they were in not that they were long to begin with. strawberry was delayed even longer than john paul chair only so many bombing crews- but when that area opened it was off the scale on quality . day 55
