Mostly a log of how we got up today:
7:30: Drove to my friend Steve's house right at mouth of LCC.
9:15: Got into the canyon but came to a stop about a mile up.
9:35 Started to move/ came to a stop at 10:00 between Entry 1 and 2.
10:00 Called Alta phone/ heard the road open at 11:00/ area open at 12:00 message.
10:15 Snowbird. No lines more than 5 minutes. 3 laps on Gadzoom/ 2 on Little Cloud. Gadzoom had some deep snow/ Little Cloud was packed down by skier traffic and wind.
12:00 Heard Alta to open at 12:30. Left to go to Alta. Largest line ever at both Collins and Wildcat. Ate lunch. Colllins opens at 1:00 servicing Fred's/ no Sunspot or High T. 2 runs then switch to Wildcat. Wildcat stayed deeper. Skied until 4/ 2 quick hikes at the end up towards Shoulder/ best runs of day.
Heard Gad II opened shortly after we left/ 1 epic run then a huge line. Also saw some tracks in Peruvian Gulch on way down so must have opened Mid Cirque traverse late in day.
No traffic on way down.
In sum, we did the best we could given all the variables; might have been a day to ski Deer Valley.
