For those of you who were either to hung over from the Alta High Boy party or just actually had to show up to work this Monday morning you all missed a pretty awesome day at the Bird. The day started a little late leaving Park City at about 9am. Since we saw a few inches of new snow over at Park City we knew we would be in for some powder over at the Bird. First run of the day was over out on the Bookend Traverse which was quite nice and surprisingly deeper then the 6 inches the Bird had called by morning.
Our next couple of runs were out on the Road to Provo past Little Cloud Bowl out in the Gad Valley. We were able to get first tracks in the Bowl at 10:30 am, that just shows you how empty the place was today. Prior to grabbing lunch we did four nice runs under the little cloud lift. After lunch the snow really started to fall and we were questioning whether or not to make just one more run. So the call was made and we decided to head up to the Cirque, which in hindsight was probably not the best choice since the mountain was now completely socked in with snow and fog. The Lower Cirque didn?t ski nearly as well as the rest of the mountain had earlier but that was probably our fault for waiting to ski it at 2 pm and in the fog.
