No, haven't seen Gunsight. Is it just still ridiculously full of snow? I hear there is a big crew from the SLC going up there on Saturday. I've seen Main Chute from the Crest, sill looks very skiable. Pipeline is still skiable for that matter.

If the snow lasts till Sept. when the temps start to cool off,.... isn't that how glaciers are made?

Eventually. Remember though that glaciers are *ice*, so it takes a royal crapload of snow to have enough weight to compress into ice. Glaciers are also constantly moving downhill. It first takes decades of being a permanent snowfield before it can even think about becoming a proto-glacier.

So, no glacier for you at Alta! [Use your best soup Nazi impersonation]
