Day 15: Uninspiring

The Kid and I went up to Snowbird first thing this morning despite last night's busted storm that only delivered 1" instead of the predicted 6". Driving up canyon, the wind was blowing snow from the trees in puffy clouds of white, and it was spitting graupel in the parking lot. Rather unpleasant, and spoiled by the other three days of skiing we've had this week we packed it up after only two runs in the Gad 2 area. Yeah, we're spoiled.

Again, the hill was absolutely quiet for a holiday Sunday. Things were skiing quite well, to be honest, with an inch or so of fluffy fresh atop a spongy skied-down base. Deeper pockets of leftovers could be found in the trees, but a day like this is better spent actually starting my Christmas shopping.

At least it's raining here (better excuse)...off to start my Christmas shopping.

doesn't look uninspiring to me at all

I'd take it if I could.

the snow that is left here between the brown spots, is glacial

I think ice skating on the pond is going to be more inspiring than skiing anything white on a hill in these parts

it is, however, snowing in the Tug Hill and I am so game to go and ski it tmrw...only problem is...no one is available to come with me...it must be a holiday or something
