Day 54: Surprisingly fun.

I went up yesterday afternoon for a couple of Tram laps with Mira, Misha and a couple of other Russian visitors. First lap was Great Scott. The Rat's Nest entry wasn't pretty but the mats they've laid in there make the going easier. Once in, though, the snow was reasonably dry down to the flats. Thereafter it was sticky. Anderson's trees skied better due to pitch but on the lower mountain the stuff was downright glue. We were rubbing on spring wax like crazy.

Second lap was Puckerbrush. Surprisingly, almost no one had skied the couple of inches that fell earlier this week and it was smooth and sweet. I headed out the Eddie Moe's gate and dropped the chute between the rocks to skier's left. I arced a huge turn straight down the chute and once I hit the apron I hit the glue. I mean, I really hit the glue. I damned near double ejected. Without time for a third lap we all called it a day.
