"What a difference a canyon makes."

I had a great time hanging out with the Alta crew yesterday, but as Admin made clear, they need new snow over there asap. Meanwhile, here in the "wrong canyon" (per Bobby D), the sun softened anything that hadn't been groomed to sugary perfection.

If you're in the middle of a snow drought, today is as good as it gets. And then there was the tailgate scene in the Moonbeam parking lot with Crazy George and his PBRs:

"Oh, the humanity! ladies and gentlemen" on those last two pictures :-)
I am surprised they didn't groom Challenger. It's my favorite piste at Solitude front-side when they do.

...are you sure it's Challenger and not Inspiration or one of the other runs that fork from it? The background trees didn't look right.

You're right. For all I know, it may be Sundancer (skier's left of Sunshine Bowl)?

Another correction: I was informed that "PBR Guy" is known to locals as "Crazy George." Also, Busch is his beer of choice, not PBR. I saw him today cruising around in his straw hat with no poles.
