I got on hill a little before 10 after getting $69 Buddy Pass for friend that was at least 30 minutes behind me and making sure cards that my wife and son can use for Buddy passes still work. I took one run on Reut and at least two runs on Cornice before they started skiing. It started snowing about 11 and I told my friends we better get to the Backside before wind picked up with storm and closed it. The snow was great there as there was some windsift, but as friend and I were waiting for other friend to get down the run with his son, the lift attendant told us we had 30 seconds before they stopped loading and went on wind-hold. We skied excellent Thunder Saddle to return to other side and took a run on chair 2, then took Low Whiskey, which also had good snow and coverage back to the Base.
By afternoon 1-2" had fallen and groomers and most edges were excellent. Visibility was marginal at top of Cornice and Wall, but runs were getting smoother all day so you did not to see everything. I got up the Wall twice where I found some good snow and quit about 3:30 with almost 24K vertical. No pictures as I only had my phone and it's running out of space.

Not sure how much snow fell at Sierra Tahoe today, probably 6-8" and it really started dumping late in day. I got one lap out the Pandora gate into their side-country where snow was great, but the six little climbs to get out of there were not fun.
When we arrived at 10, the ticket checker said 299 people were on the hill so far. When we took 1 PM 'lunch' break, bartender said the number was up to 511. The edges of most runs were untracked all morning, then tracks got filled in later in day. After separating from my friends after lunch (where I also went to car and exchanged my 96mm all-round ski for my powder skis), I never skied the same run twice.
I packed a bag that included camera and swimming suit and towel and clothes so I would not have to return to cabin before taking hot tub and going to get my growler filled and to casino for Internet, but got rushed out of cabin and forgot it. I probably needed to return anyway to hang damp clothes.
I quit at 4 PM with 27K vertical and estimate at least 20K was powder and it could have been higher.
