Red Lodge <BR> <BR>what did i place? <BR>4th in Banked slalom. my time was 41.7. 3rd place time was 41.4 <BR> <BR>2nd in boarderX(tied with buddy) <BR> <BR>3rd in slopestyle <BR> <BR>1st in big air <BR> <BR>they decided awards on the overall. i ended up taking home 2nd in the 20 and up class. <BR> <BR>it was a kick a s s time though. partied a bit to much on saturday night. almost puked on the chair on the way up for my 2nd run in the boarderX race. i came around by 2:00 though, just in time to huck myself off the big air jump. it was about a 60'er. well, more like 55' to the knuckle. the slopestyle jumps were actually bigger than the big air jump. SUPER BIG poppers. 1st one was about 55' long, and the 2nd one was about 50' long, but they popped you about 25' above the flat table of the jump. i just hit it like a hip. mostly, only the pro class was hitting them straight on. kids were throwing down some amazing stuff. a bit out of my league, but it was pretty rad to watch them do crazy sh.t......and sooooo big too. saw a 450 to flat-down rail and 270 out at the qualifier rail jam. and also saw a backflip to boardslide that night. both of them were stomped too. not just like touching the rail. they slammed it and rode away so smooth. i don't do rails, but dam was that impressive to watch. i knew that people would be throwing down some crazy sh.t, but i didn't expect to see as much as i did. i got some work to do for next year that's for sure. i atleast got some Oakley Wisdom goggles, a T-shirt, stickers and a snowboard video out of it though. and rode for free one of the days. such a fun time, and the comadadree with everyone was super cool. i think everyone had a great time. the spectators there couldn't believe thier eyes to what they were seeing everyone throw off the jumps and stuff.....and i couldn't sometimes as well. some 15yr old kid threw a corked out BS 5 over the 1st slopestyle jump and stomped it like it was his job. well, i could go on, but you get the idea. crazy s.hit, crazy weekend.
