I did find some great conditions. First up was Tres Amigos glades. I wasn't expecting there to be fresh snow, but hey, I'm not going to complain about the 6 inches or so of fluffy snow over a nice soft base. Not too many tracks in there either. Still a few obstacles (usually at the tops of the short steep sections) but not enough to worry about. Next was Lookout Glades. To get there I had to do Upper National for the first time since I broke my wrist on it last year. I stayed on the left side (same side I rode when I crashed last time) and enjoyed the soft bumps. Yep, soft bumps on upper national. Made it through to the entrance to lookout no problem. It felt good to exorcise that demon. Lookout glades was just as nice as tres amigos. Still nice fluffy snow, soft base, few tracks, few obstacles. At the end of that run, there were enough people trying to get on the quad for the staff to try and form an orderly lift line. Of course the customers weren't too thrilled and weren't paying much attention. Finally made it back up the quad and headed for Partridge. Even better than the other two runs. Very few tracks (none from today on the line I took). When I got back to the bottom and saw the line for the quad, I decided it was time to go check in at the ski school desk (in hindsight, I should have taken another run). Spent the rest of the day teaching and having my cold come back, along with a nasty headache. I was hoping to visit the Bruce trail at the end of the day, but my health had other ideas.

It may have only been three runs, but man were they good!
