So, today I was able to make it to Stowe in a reasonable amount of time. I already knew that I wasn't needed over at Spruce until 9:45. So, I hit the quad at around 8:00 and proceeded to do a skier's right to skier's left tour of the woods, starting with Partridge (I skipped Nosedive glades and Goat woods, so sue me). Partridge was still very good, but not quite as nice as yesterday. After Partridge was Starr woods, from the top. Man, Starr is a nasty trail in anything but perfect conditions. I was rewarded for sticking it out past the headwall by some untracked in the woods above the normal, easier entrance from upper National. Below the normal entrance, things were just wonderful, but slightly tracked. Those pesky ledges down towards the bottom of Starr woods still have my number though. Next on the tour was Tres Amigos (since I decided to skip Lookout glades). More good stuff. Since I had been moving a little on the slow side, my free time was pretty much up, especially since I still needed to switch to my teaching board and jacket before line-up. I wasn't riding as well as I did yesterday, but the snow was definitely still there.

Taught from 10:00 to 11:30 and had more free time from 11:30 to 1:00. I made two runs on M___y M_______n. One of the very few overlooked woods shots I know of at Stowe. A little short, but open and _steep_, take the steepest section of any of the named glades at Stowe, and this is equivalent, but lightly hit so the snow stays good, and probably twice as long as the short steep shots seen elsewhere.

More teaching from 1:00 to 2:30. I was hoping to make a run on the Bruce after that, but I was given a 2:30 to 3:30 lesson, so that put a stop to my plan. Still, a good day.
