12:45 PM, top of Mansfield, Octogon. Dumping snow last 24 hours.

"Today is the first official powder day!" remarks Jumpin Jimmy (better know to us as "Rusty").

Gotta run ski more powder.

Weather's fine, wish you were here.

You know a real powder day when you get it:
-a friday
-it's been snowing last 24-36 hours with varying accumulations
-a good starter base from last week's foot of light snow mixed with frozen glop
-about 8" of medium density powder on top of base
-it snowed all day while we skied-a goggle day
-first woods runs of the season on little weasel connectors
-first fright as you gomer off said wood sections over water bar onto real trail
-first thigh deep shots on some "reserved" trails
-first happy smiles looking back up at your sweet snakin tracks in the pow
-bone tired from skiing 9-3:30 when ya should have quit at 1:00
-wanting more, but feeling like you got your share....
