Pleasant sunny training day. Bitter cold northwest wind on lift ride, but not so bad skiing down. Still, cold enough to make it hard to believe we were skiing in the rain a week ago. <BR> <BR>Surface conditions were either hard scratchy icy stuff or beautiful packed powder, with little in between. The difference in surface seem closely coupled to extent of grooming and snowmaking. <BR> <BR>Woods are tempting. Looking good enough to lull one in, but not good enough to let one out again unscathed. <BR> <BR>We're on track for a strong holiday week, assuming no unhappy surprises the next three weeks.
