Skied STOWE for the 1st time. we had a blast----even though it was early on in the season--the GONDOLA area i really loved.there was moguls, some hard pack, and packed pdr.it was only about a 10min wait for the gondola on SAT but much longer on SUNDAY----lots of cars and skiers/snowboarders everywhere.A run on the Gondola line, with a few stops to catch my breath--and look over at the steep trails on mansfield---took me 14min to get to the bottom. That included a tumble at the top of PERRY MERRIL,when i slid on ice.

we also skied off the TOLL HOUSE lift,a 6000' dbl chair---and found rocks on the trail.this trail needs snow! its the bypass to get you over to mansfield and the GONDOLA area.....(musta been a natural snow only trail).

all in all, skiing something this size, and with all the history and background to STOWE---i was really happy to be on a real MT again----(after so many trips last year to places the size of Pine Ridge or Nashoba or Pats Pk...STOWE was a real eye opener!)
