(Note from the Administrator: This report was originally posted on 2/24/00. Due to our move to new servers, the date and time attributed to this post is incorrect.)

Downright warm. A few bare spots here and there. The snow is wet, very edgeable, and quite soft. Nosedive is still in great shape, though as usual it's a tad bumpy at that first drop. Not much ice at all. Goat was closed off. Lord/North slope were decent, but watch out for grooves from the groomer that run down the hill. Gangalier was wide open, and its side trails were in pretty good shape. Come to think of it, there were more bare spots on the Forerunner Quad side of the mountain. The little moguls turned into big nasty bumps on the right side of Liftline (gasp!) and a huge bare spot right at the icy initial drop.

Big, dense goggle-fogging percip-laiden cloud floating around in the nosedive glades gully. Hope it goes away by later today.

The snow is sticky and wet (surprised?), kind of made me wish I had waxed my board within the last two weeks! It was pretty fast despite its stickiness, given a substantial slope.

I got there right when it opened as usual, and there were a lot of new york/new jersey tags in the parking lot. I suspect it will be crowded later today. It was a madhouse on Tuesday. If you're undecided, go now before the entire mountain melts and you have to wait for the next big snowfall. I would avoid the mountain this weekend if this warm weather persists. Pray for subzero and feet of powder.
