Just a short report. Spring arrived. The snow was heavy, wet, and sticky, but still fun. Coverage is still very good on Mansfield proper, the Spruce side which gets more sun is starting to look pretty thin. Made a trip out to the bench - there were a very few bare spots along the traverse out as people had side-slipped the steeper sections. Once I got into the glades, things were sticky but good. Ran into (not literally) a bunch of snowshoers and dogs on the way down. A french-canadian group asked "where's the summit?" They didn't seem impressed when I said "keep walking up" and pointed over my shoulder. I did offer more information after that, though.
