hopefully all the brothers out there were able to catch that epic snow at stowe in the second week of april... i was there for the week... tried to post from the top of the quad, but for some reason it would not take...oh well, if you were there on either mon or wed or any of the other days, well, yeah, you know that there really isn't too much to say except just to sit back and laugh at all the chumps who pack it in after the last week in march... <BR>hit sunday river when an unexpected 2 days off came at me on thurs and fri... of course they lied and said it was 12 but it's really 3... one blue ( sunday punch ) one black bumper ( agony ) and 1 black groomer ( right stuff ) agony bumps were pretty sweet, but pretty sparse in spots... you'd be nuts to bring anything but true beater skies in there... on both days after dropping in from the top and going for about 200 yards a 25 foot walk was required... snow just ran out...lot of fun though on beater skis... right stuff had amazingly good coverage considering the rest of the mountain is practically bare... no real bare spots at all top to just about bottom... nice and soft and started to corn pile up by 1pm...they are advertising free tickets for sunday ( today 0 and monday 5-1 when they are calling it a wrap... it's probably worth going if you can... the snow on right stuff should be good for another week, i would think... <BR>it was a pretty interesting year for me... a pretty marginal snow year overall i would say but kind of an enigma w/ the epic season at jay and a few epic dumps at stowe...wildcat and burke, my other favorites after the 2 previous mentioned, were pretty awful, surprisingly, for the most part, but i guess it's all up to the weather and out of our human hands to some degree!!!! thanks to marc for all the hard work and all the faithful for the accurate info posted... it helped me out a lot... my buddy gil and i are going to the john smart mogul camp (adult session) at blackcomb on july 24 to aug 2... i'll post here w/ the results and details ( everyone knows we are better skiers than those western chumps anyways ) have a cool, quick summer boys!!!! later!!!!
