Saturday: Bright blue skies with great visibility. I was able to see Whiteface across Lake Champlain, Stowe to the North, the presidentials to the East and K to the South (from the southbound slidebrook express), at least that's what mountains I thought I saw. Are those areas within sight on a clear day? Stayed on piste most of the time as porcelain was wherever the groomer didn't go. Groomers were in great shape. Lately I haven't been into the groomers but these were fast and fun. Longest liftline was 5 minutes. I did try out some woods shots and found 3-4 inches on top of glass. Very difficult to grab an edge. Every once in a while you'd find a bit of soft edgeable crust like stuff that was OK. Did upper/lower FIS many times and felt a little bit like Lasse Kjus. It's hard to imagine reaching speeds of 50-70 mph on that trail as it's not wide enough if you go off course for some reason.

Sunday: More of the same/slightly worse conditions with less crowds. A few lifts were on wind hold. Was on the road by 2pm and encountered a bit of rain on 89/91 but no where near the conditions other drivers were experiencing on 89 in NH. I encountered heavier traffic around exit 6 on 91 in VT thru Sprigfield, MA.
