Sugarbush saturday was wonderful. A warm up run down organgrinder was needed. The snow wasn't all pushed aside, but what a change from Cortina. Next run was Paradise. Lots of loose snow, no earth poking through - excellent. From the amount of loose snow here we were decided to move over to castlerock and then the woods. Next run Rumble. Some rocks but that his to be expected. Lower Rumble had great cover. Nice soft bumps all the way down. Plans for another run on castlerock were derailed when the line was wrapped out of the corral and back to where you get on the lift. We moved on to the Mall. Again, lots of great snow and no one on it. The cross fall line always seems to move me down to the woods. Next we moved to North Linx. We started down down Sunrise, but cut back to Morning Star since it had better snow. Decent bumps and some soft along the edges. From here we took a lift up and hiked into areas that I have never been - the saddle. The quick hike gave way to an amazing reward. A somewhat tight entrance to trees that opened up and great snow cover. Nothing poking through, no logs, no water - just nicely spaced trees and excellent snow. After this, we stopped for a quick lunch. After lunch consisted of Paradise woods and other areas that I cannot remember. The Saddle was excellent and will have to be visited again.
