My buddy Lewba, a fair weather skier, decided it was finally warm enough to go skiing. So we went to Sugarbush. Few others appeared to have the same idea: the place was fairly deserted. Terrain choices were minimal: Sugar Bravo, Gate House, and that thing that goes up the Mall; many bump trails closed. Still even with only 1500' or so of vertical, we managed over 20,000 ft of skiing in a little over 4 hours. Something to do with Lewba's propensity to cruise at warp speed and my willingness to oblige.

Snow was soft. Groomed runs were creamy. Wind was strong in places, but nothing like I'm seeing out my window today. Rain, but only until about 12:00 - 1:00, then it dried up. All in all, a lot of fun.

And good thing, because I don't think we'll see decent skiing for several days to come. Time to hibernate for a few weeks, catch up on the vacuuming and laundry.
