Summit County lift ticket deals??

Ok, I?m looking at a week long trip to Summit County in March 2008, probably Keystone, Copper, and/or Breck. I?ve been to this area at least half a dozen times already, but it looks like lift ticket deals are harder and harder to come by. In the past we?ve used Peaks cards or Copper cards or 4 packs and such to get discounted tickets. Since we are from out of state and they have put more restrictions on purchasing these things in person it makes it more difficult. Plus, the last time I was there a full price ticket was about $54 not $68 or more, yeah it?s been a few years. I looked this year knowing I am going next year to keep an eye on deals and such, but didn?t find much. I know you can buy multi day tickets online and save a few $, or go to King Soopers for similar savings but I am trying not get killed by tickets. Most of our group are college and just post college age, so we aren?t all financially stable.

Anyway, I found an idea on some website that suggested buying the A Basin bonus season pass for $309. With this pass you get 5 days at keystone, or 4 days at keystone and 1 day at Vail or Beaver Creek. It sounds like you can purchase this online. This would be a pretty good savings. Anyone tried this or heard anything about it? Or does anyone have any other suggestions on savings.

Also, before you suggest not going to summit county, we have family in Denver and living in Ohio we can get to Denver in 18 hours by car. So we are pretty set on going there. And yes, we have to go during college spring break. Thanks for any help.

OK, that does it. That's twice the week that you've spammed the boards with links to your website. The first post, at least, was tangentially on topic and I opted to turn my head the other way even when users backchanneled their concerns to me. This one, however, does little to address the topic's original question, and primarily is being used to drive traffic to your website.

Should you wish to contribute to discussions here in a meaningful way, please do -- you will be welcomed. Repeat this behavior once again, however, and we'll be forced to institute a ban.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

You might missed it Marc, but today was the second and third time. The first time wasn't as clear cut obvious, but it was there. O:)

The one that I hadn't yet seen when I wrote that was today's third time.

Well back to the topic. The local grocery stores sell discount tickets, but from what I heard the discounts were not that much. Maybe $10 off. That is way down from previous years.

Your best bet, (this really works) is to shoulder tap season pass holders. I do not know about Vail resort discounts, but as pass holder to Copper/Winterpark, I can get 4 tickets a day for other people at around $50 a ticket. I know Colorado Pass holders get a similar deal.

Last year, I helped out several strangers who shoulder tapped by letting them purchase some tix on my pass. It's no biggie and I think you will find plenty of people willing to do it. I just wouldn't shoulder tap right in front of the lift ticket window. Maybe 100ft away or something...
