Spent the AM on green circles (Sunny Slope and Province) helping beginners so nothing dramatic to tell. The surface was fine.
After lunch made a run from North Peak to Lower Blast Off. Pretty darn good. Then a top to bottom run on Blast Off. Except for the usual steeper scratchy pitches, it too, was pretty good.

By mid afternoon things started to get bony. Upper Wingding - Liftline - Lower Cataract definitely showing wear & tear. The narrow connector chute that leads to the top of Lower Cataract was pretty bad. Narrow, crowded, and little loose snow. Made a late run on Skyway which was okay - wide enough so loose snow was still around.
Lower Wingding pretty scratched.

Bonanza was pretty scratched...especially upper-upper. The little swirl that avoids the upper Bonanza 'headwall' has been abandoned

Daughter and friends had fun with multiple runs on Ridge - they liked the jumps but reported increasing ice throughout the day - big surprise, right?

An afternoon trip to Province found traffic there taking it's toll too.

I made end-of-day solo runs on Duckling and Eggbeater.......again....wide enough to maintain decent surface.

Overall the snowmaking seemed good. The bases were good..no stumps, rocks, etc. The surface held fairly well considering a moderate to heavy crowd. New lifts do work wonders. No lines beyond 10 mins. I was recalling the nightmare lines from yesteryears at the NorthEast (d.b.a. SunBowl) chair.

The main base lodge is still an inadequate zoo. Only change at the summit lodge was a small coffee bar right near the doorway in the lobby. (How cute!) The rental shop process was very good. The welcome my wife received as a group leader was excellent. Everything (paperwork/tickets) in order and ready to go.

Overall, the place is a shell of the former Sunapee...and that's probably a good thing.

Of course the new snow makes this report somewhat obsolete in terms of surface conditions.
