A dazzling day of sunshine and perfect just below freezing temps. A 6 cm dusting overnight helped a lot. I was there the previous week and it was getting quite scraped off. This light snow added just enough fresh stuff to make it nice. Sadly, several of my favourite runs on Goat's Eye were shut for racing (including lower Scapegoat, lower Gladerunner, lower Afterburner and Wildfire), so after only a few runs, we headed up to the Divide chair. Coverage is fine everywhere (including the ski out), but it was a "ski the texture" day. The high traffic sections like Divide South, the World Cup Downhill, Ectascy and Angel Flight were best. Low traffic areas like Bye Bye Bowl and parts of the TP Town area were very hardpacck.
We need more snow (doesn't everyone?) but conditions were fine, and since the longest lineup I stood in was just over 3 minutes (on a Sunday?), it was a pretty nice day with over 35,000 vertical feet in 22 runs.
