Day 32: A fast cruiser
I took a two-hour break from work Wednesday morning to ski with a colleage visiting from Vegas and staying at The Grand Summit at The Canyons.
We spent those two hours buzzing around from Chair 5 to Saddleback, and other places in between. Brad is a terrific skier, and lightning fast -- I often found myself at the envelope of my speed comfort zone just chasing him around. Snow was firm and fast, with some pebbles showing up in some of the groomer mix (particularly Upper Crowning Glory). Bumps on Ninety-Nine 90 were likewise firm (Fright Gully). It was a day for cruising, which is most of what we did. Some of the most edgeable ungroomed snow was on north-facing lines such as The Pines off Saddleback.
I was too busy chasing Brad to take any pictures.
