Well you can only mountain bike so many days, I'm starting to dream about winter already...here's a clip of me in the Montana backcountry last winter that will hopefully get you psyched for winter:
Nice clip. I love projecting myself into clips like that. I try to "feel" the texture of the snow, the bite of the air, and beauty of the environment as I "float" through the powder. Thanks for sharing.
I started "thinking snow" on July 5 after our last day at Mammoth. Summer is just a waste of time where you participate in other sports and activities to stay in shape for skiing.

I haven't really had the chance to miss snow too much. Busy at work, aroundthe house and planning my next trip. Flying out to Portland on Tuesday for 2 weeks in Oregon and Washington with the whole family. à We'll see Olympic National Park, Seattle, Rainier, St.Helens and the Oregon Coast. Yes, some skiing will also be done in August and September at Timberline.
Hey Patrick. We were thinking of emulating your idea to ski late August and early September at Timberline, so we too would have a 12 month streak, having skied at A-Basin last Oct. But we just returned from a Mammoth - Santa Fe - Keystone trip (no skiing!) and we have family coming in next week. Awaiting your TR when you return - have a great time.
