Here is a little wrap up of my 3 last days on Mt Hood, last week. (tuesday 1st, thursday 3rd and friday 4th) (sorry I'm a little bit late !)
We got plenty of sun for our 3 last days on the mountain. On 2 of them, we even hiked at the end of the day, on the snowfield/glacier just above the Palmer snowfield. This is a fun snowfield, as on the left side (skier looking up), it's really a snowfield, without much danger, but on the right side, it's a whole different thing as it's just on the side of the White River Glacier and its multiple crevasses. Certain of them looked really huge, but we didn't get too close neither, as our knowledge of crevasses is pretty limited, Chris and me.
A sure thing is that it was an incredible experience (especially for my 26th birthday, on august 1st.
This was a wonderful trip, we enjoyed it incredibly much and the ± 1600$ CAD that it costed to us overall was a very nice investment ! I'm pretty sure it was not the last time that I was going to this mountain in summertime. As it's impossible for me to take some ski vacations during winter, as trip like this is just perfect for me to make the waiting period of summer quite shorter !
If only it wasn't so WARM the 2 weeks prior to our arrival, we would have got twice the terrain that we finally got... which was still amazing for some easterners like us !!
What a trip... anytime again !
Here is a few pics from our 3 last ski days. (You can find out a video of our trip on this another thread : http://www.firsttracksonline.com/boards ... php?t=2176

Epic pic... Chris on the east side of the Palmer
View from the top of the snowfield above Palmer (for a 3300' high run)
The lodge and the mountain !
2 guys on Palmer's top with the menu for the afternoon !
Another magic day on the snowfield (last day of the trip !)
View on the East Mile, to get back to the lodge with our skis...
Sometimes the best is behind us... or in the side mirror of the car........
