Today's snow photos: 10/5/09

Not sure if it takes much effort on your part to put these together, but I like them can get a quick pulse update on multiple places at once when I have little time at work (where I still am, grumble).

Anyway, given the forecast and the fact that Loveland looks well covered on over half their run (aka only need to pound more on the lower half), I'd almost be surprised if they DON'T open by sometime this weekend. :ski:

Patrick? did you hear that?

Me, I'll be stuck watching a football game in person in ~40 degree weather (normal high of 70 on Sat). Yikes!

They admittedly take a while, but the learning curve is improving -- tonight's took 90 minutes. There was a bunch of babble over in the General forum about the uselessness of Twitter, but here's another example of where it proves useful, for the majority of those pics I receive over Twitter throughout the day and seldom show up in email or on the ski area's website. The problem is that I can't pre-program them like I do many of the news stories, so if I have other obligations one day, that day won't have a gallery. I appreciate the feedback. If I receive more positive feedback I'll keep them going.

WEEKEND ALLOWING WARMING

No warming over this way this weekend. Solid chances of snow and 30 degrees below normals all weekend and highs ~40F even in Denver. I'd put even money on Loveland opening more terrain by Sunday at the latest. Me, I get to sit at a 40 degree football game this weekend - yikes!
