Two inches at Heavenly Valley, pictures & video.

Tony - I see it has snowed in the California mountains. Planning to ski this weekend?? I would bring out the "double rock" skis, circa 1977, for skiing this early anywhere. LOL It is nice to see snow in September in the continental U.S. I'm heading to Park City this February. I hope they have a good winter. My ten-year old daughter is already asking me what the skiing will be like.

Well, not bad, two inches in September. I hope it is a prelude of something big. It has been about 4 years since a good season was experienced in So. Cal. No. Cal. had a great one a few years back.

It will be 80 degrees here today in upstate NY. It was 29 at home and 43 this morning! :)

2004-05 (200" most everywhere in SoCal) wasn't that long ago.

Tahoe had great seasons 04/05 and 05/06 - average 02/03 and 03/04 - and awful last year.

Anyways, I'll take mega-feet dump to start thing off like late 2004.

What Chris said about recent Tahoe seasons.

Last weekend's storm had a snow level of 8,500 feet in SoCal, not very accessible particularly for just a dusting.
