Two lifts for the price of one at Big Bear Resorts to 1/31

OK, who ever saw this? I told Tony I would post this: He is wearing a helmet at Big Bear Lake. I don't know why he let me take this photo there. I would suggest wearing one at that resort because it is crowded. It is not required, but, the man made snow can be slippery, difficult to stop on, especially for inexperienced skiers that abound there. I don't always wear one, but, did have one on when I fell in the lodge on slippery cement, on my head. I think it helped my outlook, however. Been doing jumps, and terrain features on skis! Really. Next, getting a board!View attachment Tony.Helmet.doc

Huh? Your posts read a little like Bobby Dangers except instead of being about skiing they're about........

Slow down, and I don't think this is really the right forum for this subject, whatever that is.

What is not about skiing? Helmets, crowds, snow conditions? Huh? Your post????????????????????????????????????????? Don't like the evidence?????????????????????????????????// I don't get your posts? Helmets, condtions, skiing, crowds, how are they not related to skiing? Lots of head trauma at Big Bear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You did not enjoy the photo? Sorry. Too bad, so sad! :ski:

Who is Bobby Dangers? What is the criticism about here? Is that what the forum is? The right place for what? Is Bobby Dangers a skier at Big Bear? I don't understand that relation to skiing! Perhaps I am glad I don't!

OK, glad you are clear on your confusion. I don't know what you mean that my posts are about .........? Just what are they about???? What is about ............? About what??

I lived in Big Bear, patrolled there, and worked in that ER as a professional taking the ski accidents. The place is all about skiing no matter who is on the slopes, photographed, or enjoying the winter there! It is like the invasion of the snow sports enthusiasts when the population goes from roughly 30,000 to about 100,000 on peak weeks according to the local authorities. They who keep track of the population there (Sherrifs, etc. who must provide services and concern themselves with the population and activities there) report huge increases in the populace. Oh, well, Big Bear is a dicey place sometimes. The Hwy 38 is a better way in and out to avoid the bumper to bumper traffic on the way down the 330. Also, midweek skiing non-holiday is so much better, much like the Mammoth experience.

Sadly, most people don't take the 38. One time I was driving that way and asked some drivers going the other way how long the jam up was. They said "All the way down the mountain." However, numerous other occasions over the years, I have had no trouble getting down or up the 330. My current patrol director won't even go there thinking it is always that way. I told him about the 38! Hopefully he can enjoy the place one day!

Hope you get to enjoy Big Bear at its best, injury free, traffic jam free. It is a great place. I don't really care what ........... is about. Not worth the concern who ever is ..................., or whatever it is! I hope ......... is a good thing!

Just to clarify, I didn't mean that your post didn't belong on Firsttrackonline, just that there is a General forum for stuff like that (this is the Western NA skiing forum).

Second, Bobby Danger is a pretty regular and part of Admin's skiing crew. By not getting that at all I'll assume you don't really read these forums all that much, which is fine. I think I'll stop now though...good luck to you.

Oh, Big Bear is in the West, California, local skiing for Los Angeles and San Bernardino folks, even international guests.

I don't read these forums regularly. I work long shifts, over 12 hours, ski a lot, and read text books in my time off. I need to ski a lot! Can't wait for the weekend!

Happy skiing wherever you hail from. :-D
