Utah resort advice

I'm headed to Park City for a long weekend ( this upcoming Friday thru Tuesday)..my budd has offered some free lodging for Sundance!

Anyway, I'd like some tips on the ski areas since I've never been to the Wasatch.. I also would like to buy a couple advance discount tix, with I hear Canyon Sports is a good bet...

I'll be in Park City, so I'd like to not have to drive more than an hour to get to another place.. Park City and the Canyons are probably sure bets since I am right there, but what about another place or two?

I'm an advanced rider, like steeps, especially if its pow..otherwise big long groomers, some steeps, minimal flat areas, etc,..

Thanks!

Most ski shops in the SL Valley (See & Ski, The Lift House, etc.) sell the ticket vouchers.

You board, so that leaves out Deer Valley and Alta, but you can also get to Snowbird, Brighton, Solitude, Sundance, and Snowbasin within about an hour (Powder Mt. may be slightly more than that).

Snowbird, Solitude, Snowbasin, and Sundance in addition to the PC areas.

There have been a few other Utah advice requests, and admin and I usually put in our 2 cents worth.

Given the "I'm an advanced rider, like steeps, especially if its pow..otherwise big long groomers, some steeps, minimal flat areas, etc,.." request, Snowbird should be your top priority. Since you're based in Park City and may get only one day at Snowbird, I'd recommend making it not a weekend day to maximize your riding. If you're flying out late enough Tuesday to ride a full day, that's the logical day for Snowbird in terms of minimizing the driving.

Solitude and Snowbasin are good bets for weekend days.
