Shameless promotion of website:

I know there's at least a few of you around here that would find this site useful. UtahSkiWeather.com has resort-specific forecasts for major resorts in Northern Utah. It also has a backcountry forecast, in depth weather and snow conditions discussions, ...and of course, a powder meter. It's non-profit and is run by the Univ of UT Dept of Meteorology. So check it out, use it, bookmark it.

...at my request, so don't anyone get all huffy about it ;-) .

Keep up the great work, gwest! Did you make it out for that fantastic stuff last weekend? Will we see you on the hill this weekend?

Yeah, it was nice. Got out 3 out of the 4 day weekend. Unfortunately I was getting bored on the groomers, so Friday i tried [GASP] snowboarding  . I got the hang of it, towards the end of the day i was getting tired, shoulda stopped. I was on the last 20 ft of the last run of the day, tried to bring the back of the board around and somehow tweaked my back. So i laid on the couch all day saturday while it dumped. Sunday i got out though, went up grizzly gulch, got some real nice snow, but also hit several rocks. Cooold too. The warm frontal snow with this storm isnt really panning out, but we'll still get a good amount of high density stuff tonight and into tomorrow, then some lighter density snow possible over the weekend.
I'll probably be at solitude both days this weekend. We should definitely get together to ski something though.

Rocks? I expect those in November. We'll be at Alta on Saturday a.m. for a few runs -- I have a committment for Saturday afternoon -- and probably Sunday again as well. Should you find yourself over there instead, give me a shout.
