Vail Parking and Ski Storage Question

Hi -- I'm new to this forum and was hoping I might get some advice about my upcoming season in Vail.

I've taken time off from work and am moving out to West Vail on Dec. 1 for about 4 months to ski and am wondering what my best options are to get to and from the mountain. My place is about a 5 minute drive from the base area or a 1 minute drive to a parking lot where the shuttle stops. I would prefer to drive, but am guessing that parking at Vail is pretty expensive. Is this correct? Are there monthly or season-long parking passes to anyone's knowledge? Is the shuttle a convenient alternative? Lastly, does anyone know of any options to rent a ski locker on a long-term basis? Thanks in advance for any help!

$25/day for the public parking garages. Anything free you have to shuttle bus in from.

Not sure on the parking garages. There are longer term parking options in Vail, but unlikely you'd snag one for 4 months IMHO. They tend to go to long timers and very wealthy folks. (eg a few years ago Vail sold some close in parking spots just like real estate and they went for $250,000/spot  )

Is the shuttle a convenient alternative?

Usually. They have decent frequency and sounds like you wouldn't be riding it for a very long trip anyway.

Lastly, does anyone know of any options to rent a ski locker on a long-term basis?

Total unknown by me on that one. I only know about their concierge service for overnight at he base of a couple lifts (not even sure what that costs actually, but you could look it up on Vail's website).

Oh, well, if they're only $250k I'll just pick one of those up... riiight.

Anyway, thanks for the help -- very much appreciated!

Yep, the bus service in Vail is frequent, dependable, and runs late. No need to drive.
