Wachusett mt 12/22/00

I skied up at mt.wachusett this afternoon...no lines,and the conditions were decent...the skiing surface was nice packed pdr over the hard base caused by last weekends rain. <BR> what a difference compared to weekends or nite skiing at wachusett.today i parked in row #1 instead of 1/2 mile out into the parking lot,like when its packed.the amount of skiers coming down the trails was not so crazy that you had to keep looking out for people. <BR> its early in the season,so theres not to much for moguls yet.pretty much cruising terrain--nice for sweeping turns-- <BR> there were snow guns planted here and there on various trails--so im sure they'll be making more snow to cover some of the thin areas where you can still see grass and hay sticking up on the sides--
