Today being only my second day on Skins I decided to take yesterdays adventure just a bit further. Yesterday I skined up Deer Valley and skied both empire bowl and the Daily chutes, which was a ton of fun.

This morning I decided to have a friend drop me off at the base of Empire so I could skin up to the top of Empire then into Park City. This proved to be the right call. No one has been up there yet. Saw some tracks in P-Zone one in East Face and and one line in Puma Bowl but that was all. So I decided to ski McConkey's and it was great. Check out some pictures below.

That's a nice photo looking down McConkey's with the chairlift off to the left, although I don't think the photo indicates the steepness of that slope. When I was there in February, there were very large moguls on that trail.

Not sun-cupped like California

That's because spring started about the first of March in the Sierra this year, vs. less than 2 weeks ago in the Wasatch.

Spring :?:

Looks like slightly wet powder snow in McConkeys to me. Only the lowest elevation valley areas have seen any spring in Utah/Colo this May so far... Quite a bit of fresh snow lately at altitude, actually.
