the crew is here for the usual epic summer mogul fest....weather has been unreal with blue sky for the last three days and about 55 in the glacier...the sickest part is the next 5 days looks like nothing but blue sky...happy days for sure
here's a brief clip of me on the momentum course from day 1....the new digital camera should allow more video and longer clips to come up soon..we'll get the film quality better also hopefully my turns...all critiques of the turns are welcome...don't be too hard on me though, it was day one

more epic weather :D .. and it looks like it's gonna continue...for anyone who has been here in the summer, the ski out road down to solar coaster was lost about 10 days ago so it's the pain in the ass bus ride out at the end of the day....but all in all it's been good...i have not been skiing as well as i was hoping for... the body is starting to lose the soreness , so hopefully i will start skiing better...

here's few more clips

this is me in the team canada lane... bumps not that big as it was just cut in, but it is really tightly spaced

this is me in the momentum absorption tank... it's a series of rollers that teaches absorption and extension

big day tomorrow for video .. should get a boat load ... hopefully i'll start making better turns

Joe Man! You are awesome. I'm glad that bumps are your thing and you get after it so whole-heartedly. The glacier is a fun spot to hang during the summer months. Looks like a blast up there.

i was there july 27 last year and the run still had wall to wall cover

Whistler had 398 inches in 2007-08, just short of its 407 average. February and April were much drier than normal. 548 inches in 2006-07.

The center of most 2007-08 La Nina storm tracks was around Mt. Hood, which had a record 757 inches. Move either direction on the Pacific Coast and 2007-08 percentage of normal snow gradually decreases. Moving inland the La Nina storms tended to take a more southerly track than normal. So Utah and Colorado did much better than normal. Areas much north of the U.S.-Canada border were only slightly above average, not as high as in many La Nina years.

The weekend video looked quite impressive to an amateur (at best) bump skier like me. "Throw a beer can" in a tight bump line like that and you're history.

thanks for the nice comments, but i'm really not that good ...at least compared to what is out here... if you guys could only see some of the skiing going on out here with the canadian team ... it's unreal how fast these guys and girls can turn skis... i think someone like jim g knows what i am talking about
the epic weather just keeps rolling on... not a raindrop in sight for the next 5 days :P

here's another clip of me on the momentum course from yesterdays film

I know the feeling, you should come to Tremblant or Ste-Anne in the last few weekends of April when the sun is out. Top notch bumps with the best mogul skiers around (probably a few from the team). 8) Its a Canadian version of Superstar in May back in the day when Donna Weinbrecht was one of the only girls skiing with a bunch of top notch bumpers, it's was unreal.

" this is the way the world ends... not with a bang .. but with a wimper...."
greg stump- " groove ... requiem in the key of ski "

and with a wimper , so ends the epic summer session of 2008....18 ski days in a row ....16 days of sun... 1 day of clouds and 1 day of fog and rain ( that was today )
we closed down the glacier today.. last day for us and for all skiing at blackcomb... it was quite a trip ( and in all likelihood, my last one out here  , but that's a story for another day... ) im trying to get photo's uploaded but am having trouble...maybe when i get home on tuesday ill have better luck... but for sure, it was one for the record books out here... =D>
