I agree with Tony - that's definitely something other than a ski pole (esp. since you see his second pole upright in his pack). The bigger question is what is he using as a camera - 'cause it has insanely good image stabilization.Admin":1r4z2rog said:Any camera with a bicycle handlebar mount can have that placed on a ski pole.

Looks like an extendable pole very similar in size to a ski pole. Looks a touch longer than a ski pole, but might as well be a ski pole. I've attached my helmet cam to my ski pole in the past and get essentially the same angle and view as that vid (of course it wasn't a powder day when I experimented so much with the cam so no one watched the vid  )
The GoPro is that good at IS? There seems to be more going on in that vid than just IS - it looks like steadicam shots. It's really hard to hold a camera and get those rock-solid shots, esp. when it's at the end of a 3' pole.longshanks":1kx2odi8 said:As for the camera, one could guess based on the profile of his helmet mount that its an HD model by GoPro. The best way to insure image stabilization is a secure mount. Goggle mounts just don't cut it - too much vibration. I have an Drift X170 (SD) and the velcro helmet mount is good if your helmet is stable whereas the handlebar mount that I use on my old sled is rock solid.
