well, we've been waiting all winter, and it looks like we might finally be getting some winter conditions up here. 30cms have fallen over the past few days, but the big one is scheduled to roll in tonight and tomorrow. anywhere from 40-70cm+ by the time it is all over on tuesday. we even saw a few flakes in the valley this week.
conditions have improved, but the base is still a sheet of ice in most areas above 1800m. the 30cms is not sticking to it in steep areas, but with the continued dumps, eventually the ice will get covered over.
i will try to post back here again tomorrow after checking out the conditions first hand.
