who has snow??

just wondering where the snow's been falling this year, as it certainly hasn't been out here on the coast of BC. I overheard a heli guide saying how difficult it has been to find anything decent in the last two weeks - and he's got a freakin helicopter.
well, we've got 2-5cm in the forecast this weekend!!! woohoo! don't want to miss out on that...
 
You in the NW have definitely been getting the worst of it. People do need to be reminded that full coverage at Christmas is not routine at many areas. Whistler is one of the few where it is, so it is unusual for Whistler to be that sketchy now.

Utah is clearly doing the best for snow now, but even there it was dry for the past 2 weeks until 3-7 inches last night. The Sierra had record October snow but only about half normal since then. I had a great last weekend at Mammoth but my son reports mostly hardpack at Tahoe. Other areas doing better than average would be Sun Valley, Durango and Telluride. well, we finally got some today!! not much overnight, but it's still snowing and it's supposed to continue. thank you santa! tomorrow will be the best day in weeks. merry xmas!
