Due to our move to new servers, the date and time attributed to this post is incorrect.)</I> <BR> <BR>two days, 2 mountains, 2 different stories, <BR>wildcat, it was scary and good at the same time, the partly cloudy skies out of the gate gave way to overcast... spitting rain droplets till about 2... soft melting frozen gran snow ( not real corn, or at least not what i would call ) it was scary how little snow this place had... basically 2 skiable bump runs... 1/3 of the lift line liftline under the quad and 1/2 the old red double line... wildcat started to bump late in day but no consistent lines... the entrance to the quad line run was about 10 inches wide by 3 pm and the bumps on it were actually bimps 9 no snow no bumps ) bumps on red line were nice but the skiable line was pretty short...most everything else had mounds of snow by 3pm but not anything near consistently lines to bump in.... it's too bad about the lack of snow and the lack of available terrain cause this place rocks on some of their steeps under the lifts 9 fyi, demo'd the rossi viper z 184, heard it was a good snappy ski for aspiring bumpers who need a little more help up top than a legit competition bump ski would provide... very good review here... quick edge to edge and lots of snsp slamming em off monster bumps at the end of the quad line... not sure how they would hold on hardpack but let em run a little throught the mush and they were fine... 93/63/87 are the specs i think...little less shovel than the regular shape ski and a little more than the comp bump ski...found them to release the turn a lot faster than my k2-4's. <BR>loon ( w/ plake ) <BR>they got a legit 6 overnight... ruined most of the usual blues except blue ox... ruined walking boss but left all the other blacks ungroomed...triple and double dip had nice bumps on em by 12 noon... monster bumps w/ the 6 of fresh on lower flume which had the most consistent lines... started out beautiful w/ no wind but got windy around 2 and they closed the north peak chair...glen plake and his entourage were on his hot dog tour w/ r.s.n. and was skiing a few runs and doing his hot dog stuff... i kind of like the guy cause he seems to have a lot of fun w/ his skiing and is in some great movies ( blizzard of ahh's and fistful of moguls... fyi if you are into bumps and funky music you really should buy fistful of moguls... a really great movie...) anyways , plake was basically doing his thing for rsn and it's promo tour thing so there was not really much skiing taking place...to many 14 to 16 yr old brats saying " hey glen watch my attempt at a 720 rodeo mctwist kicker " or whatever the heck they were calling it as they were hurling their bodies of a kicker... funny how none of these kids seemed to be able to link 5 turns in a bumps field though... and then lots of standing around and stuff... i did manage to ski 2 bump runs w/ him on flume...he shredded em of course and made me feel like a chump... one note of interest, he is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and skies on some custom made k-2 that has merlin 6 graphics and is 216 cm... it is actually amazing to how much this ski towers over him when he is standing beside it... plus he skies bumps w/ em... he was w/ his wife who was on the k-2 moseley's and shredding up the powder... she was almost as impressive as plake himself and she was real nice and talkative... <BR>hopefully wildcat got some good snow out of the dump cause it was really in trouble on thurs...
