Only one trail was open today, but it ran from top to bottom (upper and Lower Whistler). Upper was covered with death cookies, especially on the steepest part, about a third of the way down, as my aching knees can tell you. The rest of the trail was decent, with a few bare spots, crud, and some brown snow. All in all, the snow crew did a great job considering the weather that the east has been having and the 3 or 4 nights they had to try and get the place open. I was tickled just to be able to make a few turns and the trail did give up some sweet snow in a couple of places. Lift tickets were only 25 bucks, not sure what they will be the rest of the week. Rain and warmer temps later this week may wash out the weekend.
