I was a little late hearing about this one, saw it in Ski Area Management Magazine:

SKI Magazine Will Only be Printed Once a Year as Owner Outside Interactive, Inc. Slashes its Print Operations by 80% - SnowBrains

Currently printed six times a year, SKI Magazine will be cut back to just one edition a year as parent company Outside Interactive, Inc.

SKIING Magazine was first threatened in 2010, with a longer FTO discussion about it then.

I'm fairly sure SKI Canada is still in print. SBC Skier looks like one or two issues a year.

Dave Reddick and perhaps a small group of people are building an online archive of past Powder issues, a slow process as they are only up to 1981 so far. That's issue 10-4. My cover story from October 1995 is 24-2, looks like that may take some time.

I would occasionally buy a USA gear issue, but that's about all.

Subscriptions to SKI in particular were dirt cheap, and often included free with ski show or Warren Miller tickets. Profitability was likley driven more by newsstand sales, which crashed during the pandemic. I'm guessing the recovery from that crash is only partial.
