Alta, UT 1/23/10

Got up the road between 935 and the 10 closure. Was in the gad lot by 10. Was country club skiing until about noon. 8 Gad laps.

Got crowded so we went up to alta. Where they promptly opened at about 115. Skied three wildcat laps down to the road. Glorious.

No stealing these pics, please.

Hey, so I want to know what excuse the kid used. :popcorn: You give him your truck (with skis in the truck), credit card...and he doesn't show up when you want to leave? I imagine your reaction would have been similar to mine. I've had similar frustration when it involves skiing and other members of the family. ](*,)

Not worth it. To some degree -- about as much as you can expect from an 18 year-old, I suppose -- he took ownership for the situation. Let's just say that we're going to have a whole new set of ground rules going forward. I told him, you're 18 now, and it's time for you to a) accept some responsibilities, and b) live with these ground rules as you're living as a leech under my roof. If you don't like it, there are plenty of apartments for rent in the newspaper.

Hey, it's Jason here... nice to meet everybody and enjoy some very very nice snow.

Thanks for all the pics - wow, it WAS deep - I forgot and I was there.

A huge public thanks to skidog who put me up for 2 nights and kept track of me so I didn't wander off any cliffs.

hopefully I'll make it back to UT before too long.
