Meh, by then I don't know that I care so much about super steep pitch. I prefer to have a 90 minute drive over a 5 hour one to go skiing in June or July... AKA anything that's open and close = a win, in my book, by then (and don't ever forget WHY the Basin closes Pali in May either though). Of course I haven't skied past mid-June myself, I mostly have other interests by then anyway.
