Boyne buys Loon Mountain

The new england pass is quite a deal also. I will upgrade my maine pass to this when I can buy them.

$699 is a bit steep :shock: unless you have property there and don't mind being locked in! Especially coming off the amazing deals that American Ski Company had for the past few years. Loon is just OK - crowded and often icy. Sugarloaf is too far for day tripping from NH. I wouldn't be tempted unless it was under $500. Looks like it will be year of "toofer" skiing at Cannon and trying to find weekend deals.

i was in lincoln this week and as should be no surprise , they are a little confused about some things rights now :roll: ... loon sold season passes good for this coming year for waterville, crany and loon last spring for the early bird price of 450....the threedom pass.... now there is as announcement for loon, sunday river, and the loaf for 369....
no one could answer how this is going to be straightened out...i know it just went down but why can't they announce all the info/price fixes that are needed at the same time instead of creating confusion...just typical ski industry i guess.
and 699 for that pass is not steep...one could argue it is cheap.... find me a legit 18 hole top level country club where you can play unlimited golf anytime with transportation ( ie a cart- the equivalent of a lift ride at a ski area ) from opening day till closing....
 
Loon has different black out days than SR with the passes.

I bought the maine pass for$ 799 already. To add Loon will be $100 according to the press release. Still some dust to settle here. Best deal looks if you bought the threedom and upgrade to the New england pass then you get 5 mts instread of 3 buying the Maine upgrading to the north east. Too late for me.

I own too many condo's. :D I have one 1/2 way between Loon and Waterville Loon trying to sell that one.

I have a place at Sunday river, bougth in May.... so the deals are good for me. I drive past Loon on my way to sunday river and Pass by it on my way home. I'll add a day on both sides of the weekend when i can. $899 for 3 mountains IMO is a great deal. Black out passes don't work for me. I ski all the holiday periods with the fam. I got 75 days in last year. Passes are the way for me.
