You’ve done this too haven’t you?
I may be having a senior moment and forgot leaving ski boots in the car; however, growing up as a hockey player, I absolutely remember doing that with my skates a few times and playing the next morning in an outdoor rink around 0F. The worst part wasn't having freezing cold feet while playing, it was when they thawed out in the car driving home. Unbelievably painful!

I have never left boots in a car overnight when I was skiing the next day. I did leave them at former admin’s SLC home when we went to Powder Mt once though and thus had to rent for the day.:eusa-doh:

Adam and I left boots in the car on a 7F morning at Vail for 20 minutes checking Andrew into ski school. When we came back to the car we could not get our boots on and had to take them into a lodge to soften.

A hooded jacket over a ski hat was sufficient today at -10F, though uphill was in the snowcat. I did wear triple layers under both jacket and ski pants. Yesterday at +10F double layers were adequate and often once we had skied a little bit I would need to flip the hood down to maintain a comfortable temperature. I have a balaclava/face mask which I brought in the pack but did not need today. Fernie is chairlifts, only two of them high speed, so I will pass on skiing there tomorrow at predicted -13F. I'll be there Friday at +3F and at Castle Saturday on the way to an evening flight home.
