This year, Frank's Mont Alta will still open this weekend
But don't expect to see it open April 30.

natural snow skiing I've done at Mont Ste-Anne North side in late April last year and early May other years.
That terrain looked pretty flat to me for skiing on May isothermic snow. Say what you will about Killington, Superstar has the ideal pitch and surface (skier-packed bumps) for late spring/summer skiing. Perhaps natural snow might last longer at a colder and farther north place like Valinouet.

However it's pretty amazing considering that they received about 100 inches this year and have no snowmaking whatsoever.

What is happening this year (extending the ski season by many areas) is putting Tremblant to shame. [-(

" After an uninspiring beginning to winter that was highlighted by 60-degree temperatures in early January, snowfall amounts at Stowe Mountain Resort have since skyrocketed to over 374 inches. That amount already exceeds Stowe?s annual average of 333 inches. "

quote from firsttracks news line in the stowe story

keeping in mind that, to me, cululative year end snow totals don't necessarily tell the whole accurate story, after finaglein -the -bagel with work - i'm poised and set up to be skiing 10 ( tomorrow and fri at at the cat ) out of the next 19 days ...perhaps and MAYBE , if all this recent snow activity lives up to it's hype and IF it sets up properly with good thaw /freeze cycles, maybe we can upgrade " crappy " to decent.... maybe..... we'll have to wait and see  :D ... could be an epic 3 weeks
