Near record daily high temps last weekend have put a dent in the snowcover, but it keeps accumulating!

The OBS report this morning of 13.7” Total Snowfall So Far This Month is only one tenth inch shy of the October monthly average snowfall of 13.8".

http://www.mountwashington.org/weather/today.html

The "24 Hour Statistics" & "Almanac Data" of the 6AM report are for observations over the previous 24 hours ending at 1:45AM EDT.

Today's hourly reports have listed snow for 8 of the hours since 2AM, so by now the OBS should have measured at least one tenth inch snowfall, and more.

Tomorrow morning’s report should show an already above-average October snowfall, with twelve days left in the month!

Hopefully this above-average October snowfall is the beginning of a trend!

However, we were well below normal in September (only a Trace of the average 2.4" snowfall).

With a little luck, we’ll have made up the deficit by October 31, and be on our way to an above-average seasonal snowfall, as well!

Think snow!
