Chairs 2 and 3 are ~400 vertical. Chair 1 is about 900 vertical. ChrisC's analysis in right on most counts.

Only part right here. It's plenty steep, and rough terrain off the trails, so a 4 foot base is needed for adequate coverage. But it's forested and north facing, so once the snow is there it holds up fairly well relative to elsewhere in SoCal. Recall that epic corn I had in late April of El Nino 1983.A steep wall - which probably does not hold snow that well
I expressed this view in the marathon thread. But it's so close to a huge population base Mt. Waterman should have a shot if they can get the word out to the narrow niche that would appreciate it. They did just fine 25 years ago, but are now dealing with the changes in the SoCal market that Tom Moriarty described.I just think it would be hard for Waterman to compete with inherent natural terrain of the mountain.
