Snowbasin, UT 03/30/09

I'll bump my 11-year-old report with news that Snowbasin is finally getting base-area lodging:

Interesting that it's Club Med. I'm still not sure what's different now vs. Copper and Crested Butte 20 years ago.
 
When I worked at Copper in 97/98, Club Med was still there. They had some good parties, but it always bugged the crap out of me that many of their snowboard instructors taught classes using ski poles for everyone. Most of us at Copper ski/board skool used to make fun of them pretty regularly.
